Introduction On May 23, 2024, a CAA Asbestos NESHAP Inspection was conducted at the former Days Inn, located at Seven Bridge Road, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. a. Summary of Site / Facility The Days Inn was a multiple building hotel and restaurant complex. The facility is being demolished for redevelopment. b. Entry & Opening Conference EPA Region III Inspector Richard Ponak arrived at the facility at approximately 8:35 am on May 23, 2024, for an unannounced inspection. Upon arrival, Inspector Ponak observed that no one was on site. II. Process Description Not Applicable to the inspection. III. Site / Facility Walkthrough Inspector Ponak walked the perimeter of the demolition site and observed there were not any asbestos warning signs posted and access to the site was not restricted. Inspector Ponak observed that the site has not been kept wet and the Regulated Asbestos Containing Material (RACM) was dry. Inspector Ponak did not observe any wetting source or water on site. Inspector Ponak did not observe any water source except a partially filled swimming pool, that would not have had enough water to adequately wet the site.
