Nakamura, Director Technical Liaison Subject: Vinyl Chloride Safety Association Gentlemen: This is in response to your letter of September 19, 1975 requesting information about the Vinyl Chloride Safety Association and your interest in Mitsubishi Monsanto Chemical Company becoming a member. Enclosed is a copy of the By-Laws for your consideration. Notice that the only requirement is for Mitsubishi Monsanto Chemical Company to forward a lett r to my attention stating your wishes to become a member as well as agreement to abide by the By-Laws, and designation of a permanent representative from Mitsu bishi Monsanto Chemical Company with title and complete mailing address for use in subsequent association communications. By sending a representative of your organization to our next meeting, this will then automatically add Mitsubishi Monsanto Chemical Company to the list of members. Though our By-Laws call for one corresponding representative from each specific organization and one vote per organization at the meeting, each organization is welcome to send as many actual representatives as they wish although th question of accommodation has made it the practice to restrict the number of representativ to approximately three per organization. We welcome your representative and firm membership into our association and look forward to your active participation. Attached is a copy of the ammouncement regarding our October JO and Jl, 1975 meeting in Houston, Texas, U.S.A. No formal proceedings of our meetings are taken, nor are they published. Each representative is encouraged to take his own notes and at his discretion, dis tribute them among his own organization. A master recording of the entire pro ceedings is kept upon the advice of legal counsel, but these recordings are released only on loan to members. The purpose of this is to insure that we all feel free to speak with total candor regarding our safety problems.
