Warehouse 7 Houston, Texas 77002 PLAINTIFFS EXHIBIT WCD-266 Dear Sir: As you requested in yar appended memo to my letter of September 10, 1970, a report on the condition of the car load of SY-66 shipped 9/14/70 follows: Box car IC 24258 containing 80,000 pounds SY-66 arrived on our tracks the evening of 9/24/70. Plans to unload were set for Friday, 9/25/70, but due to the chaotic condition of the car, unloading was postponed until Monday, 9/28/70 when additional help could be obtained. (Attached photographs are self explanatory.) Normal unloading calls for one fork lift truck driver and one clerk. To unload this car also required a laborer to restack fallen pallets before load could be handled. We have calculated that our costs In excess of normal unloading time added up to $29.29. Needless to say, after our letter of September 10, 1970, complaining of the shipment of SY-66 on P.0. 70-4695 and your letter to Pioneer Talc, we had expected some improve ment . We would like to continue to do business with you, but we cannot justify the additional time, expense, and resulting damaged product.
