For the past two weeks, it was either Fu or Xu out of town. Over the past weekend, Fu talked to Xu and his response was that he would be teaching a lot of classes next semester and it would difficult to attend the meeting. I reminded them that the meeting will be in San Francisco and relatively easy to get to from Shanghai. Xu has not decided at this point, and I think we should continue to encourage him to attend the meeting. I don't see any downside risk in sending official invitations to both Professor Xu and Dr. Li immediately. An invitation letter at hand will speed up the visa application, should they decide to come.
