Tromblee PLAINTIFF'S EXHIBIT As with last year's annual inspection, we recommend that SHAC members serve as guides to the Annual Safety and Housekeeping Inspection Team. Since there are six members of the SHAC Committee, we also recommend that we limit the inspection teams to six members. Harrjf Conrad /jP SC 001652 LAM002854 COMPETITIVE QUARTERLY SAFETY/HOUSEKEEPING INSPECTION OBTECTIVES OF COMPETITIVE PROGRAM - Improve quality of quarterly inspection and feedback - Recognize achievements/needs - Improve consistency of application of safety program, procedures and inspection ratings COMPETITION - Split into comparable groups - units, crafts, labs, offices/services - Criteria for eligibility for award - recordable injuries, major incidents, total injury rate INSPECTION - Supervision will be notified as to day of the inspection - 2nd Q will be last two weeks in June - Each area will receive a rating even if not eligible for competition - Team will issue detailed inspection report including rating. Response will be by memo to general superintendent of area with copy to SHAC - Ranking criteria for award: (1) safety performance - major incidents; total injury rate, (2) unit/craft safety improvement - plantwide programs (STOP, safety meetings, unit/craft safety meetings), (3) housekeeping/safety level of area - field inspection AWARD - Top area in each category (i.e., best unit, best craft) - Plaque to be permanently displayed in the area PUBLICITY - Award presented by plant manager - Announced in Plant News with photographs - Announced on sign boards at gates INSPECTION TEAMS - Membership - (1) Unit/craft shops: PMSB, SHAC, contact supervisor, HSC (2) Labs/services/offices: PMSB, SHAC, TCSC, OSC ^ - Organization - (l) Two unit inspection teams will tour 12 units. One team inspects units qualified for "best" award. One team inspects the remaining units. (2) One team each for crafts, labs, offices/services.
