When the team last met, we had developed a list Of issues pertaining to: 1) Safety information that Contractors receive as part of the contract 2} Safety Training 3) Equipment Supplier 4) The applicability of all Plant Procedures to Contractors The notes from the last meeting were left for you to send out. It was the team's charter to provide better information to be attached to the contract. As the person who requested the help to improve the quality of information given to the contractor, along with the contract, you represent the team sponsor - Materials Management. You also served on the team as & member. Contract Services provided team representatives to lend theLr expertise on the existing process. They have helped to clarify the plant contractor training when they arrive for ths job. The Safety Department has provided technical support to the team's efforts. We researched the higher level requirements and reported what is being done at other carbide locations. We revised and submitted the Seadrift Contractor's Safety Manual to meet the Texas City Plant's requirements. Also, issues were raised as a result of our research that point the direction for further improvement in the area of contractor safety and the contract. There has been no feedback on the document that wae submitted, nor has there been any further communication regarding the issues, since we have not gotten any feedback, we must assume that you are satisfied with the document already submitted and require no further help in resolving the other outstanding issues. We recognize that other outstanding issues will need to be dealt with under a different charter, we recommend that this be pursued. We will provide whatever support is necessary.
