Its helpful and amusing commentary on the paper by Fensterrcacher and his col leagues is much appreciated and I am sorry not to have acknowledged it sooner. Though I quite agree that not much can proba bly be done about bovine paint ingestion, I do not in tend wholly to ignore the problem and shall be glad to let you know of anything of interest that my further delvings may bring to light. In this connection, you may be interested to note our manual on painting farm buildings, a copy of which is on its way to you under separate cover. I have already suggested to Mr. Critchfield one or two modifications of the next editf which would give some recognition to the cussedness of cattle.
