April 7/ 1947 Dr. } . S. Asbury, Ethyl Corporation, ?. 0. Box 341, Baton rouge 1, La. Dear Dr. Asbury: In accordance with your letter of April 2 I am sending you herewith a copy of the preliminary program of the meeting in Buffalo. The meeting this year is likely to be a particularly good one, in my opinion, because Theodore Hatch of the industrial Hygiene Foundation in Pittsburgh, who is the chaiman of the Program Committee, has undertaken to arrange the program of A.I.H.A. so as to be a series of papers on general principles and fundamental considerations. There will be more than the usual amount of discussion, since the program is being arranged with this as one of the primary objects. Let me call your attention to one or two specific matters. The Monday afternoon session of A.C.G.I.H. is an open meeting, intended by this organization to be of interest to professional workers in general. Prom the arrangement of - the program, this is certain to be the case in my opinion. The entire program of A.I.H.A. will be of interest I think, but I call particular attention to the conferences on Wednesday night after the Association dinner. The conferences conducted by Drinker and .Witheredge will be particularly interesting to your group, and the other will probably be of Interest also. If only one of your men attends, he would be at some loss to determine which to attend. This meeting will be well attended, and therefore if one of your men Intends to go, he had better arrange Immediately for hotel accommodations, since otherwise he will be in difficulties. I feel guilty that I did not call this to your attention earlier. I am afraid that the recent period of somewhat uninterrupted work In the Laboratory has caused me to ignore everything else so far as possible. Sincerely yours, hobert A. Kehoe, M. D.
