Personally, I can see no reason why very rvall samples of tetraethyl lead should not be sent to others engaged in research work at your own discretion. However, I believe that this is a matter which I should take up with Dr, Sahoe and I as therefore autwitting to hia a copy of my letter of February 9th and yours of February 23rd. I do think that if the quantities reach anything over a few hundred cubic centimeters it might be a good idea for on of our safety representatives to make a routine call and discuss the handling of the material with the 'individual concerned. This is never done with the idea of checking up or giving ary arbitrary instructions, but is merely to bo helpful to the recipient of the product in case there are any questions on his mind. Naturally, if the quantities involved are very great, the product should bo handled under a hood and. with proper physical equipment.
