Does Assistant Secretary Balash have any time on:

Hi Tracie, Thanks so much for facilitating this meeting request. I did have a question I was hoping you can help with. We are working to arrange a few other staff meetings with BLM & DOI and were wondering if anyone else would be joining the meeting with Assistant Secretary Balash?
It's been our understanding that Kathleen Benedetto, Strategic Advisor to Secretary Zinke and Katherine McGregor, Deputy Assistant Secretary - have been made aware of the Methow mineral withdrawal request, and we would like to include them if that is appropriate. Can you advise me on that and what next steps I should take?
Thank you and best wishes,

Kate and Kathy work for Joe Balash. Do you prefer to meet with them instead? Sorry for not following up but they confirmed Assistant Secretary Balash so our office would not pursue meetings with anyone else. Joe will decide if any of his staff will join him. Basically it's like getting a meeting with the Mayor but then telling him which members of his staff you want in the meeting - it's up to the Mayor. BLM is under Joe Balash. Joe reports to the the Secretary. Does this help? If you're pursing other meeting within DOI I suggest doing those meetings and then requesting a meeting with Assistant Secretary Balash during another visit. I hope this helps explain the organization flow. I can call you tomorrow to discuss if that's easier.

Dear Assistant Secretary Balash,
I am writing to request a meeting time with you during our upcoming visit to DC (Monday June 18-Wednesday June 20) to discuss the Methow Headwaters mineral withdrawal request currently underway in Washington state. We acknowledge the mutual importance of this topic to you, your department, and our community's interests. As such, we place great value in the opportunity for us to meet and share thoughts and steps forward on this important topic.
We have been working closely with Congressman Newhouse and his office who
have been very supportive of our community's effort - I have cc'd Sean O'Brien
on this email from Congressman Newhouse's office. We have overwhelming
local, regional, and state-wide support of our request from elected officials at all
levels, as well as various other organizations representing citizens, ranchers,
farmers, and outdoor recreationist's, including outdoor sportsman's groups. Our
delegation visiting DC represents this diversity and comprises of the following
individuals from the Methow Headwaters effort:
Maggie Coon, Board Chair, Methow Valley Citizens Council
Soo Ing-Moody, Mayor, Town of Twisp
Kevin van Bueren, Methow Valley business owner and Methow Valley
Fly Fishing club board member
Jay Kehne, Conservation Northwest Associate
Hannah Dewey, Organizer, Methow Headwaters Campaign
Additionally, Congressman Newhouse and/or his staff intend to join us in meetings, when possible.
We appreciate the value of your time and would be extremely grateful for a slice out of your very busy schedule. I thank you for your consideration of our meeting and withdrawal request, and sincerely look forward to an opportunity to personally meet you and discuss the next steps of this critical request.
I look forward to hearing from you, or your office, at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely and with best wishes,
