The committee elected Mr Harold M Clayton, Technical Director of Norsk Hydro Polymers to succeed me. Mr Clayton has been a member of the VCM Committee since 1974/5 and was Chairman of our Customer Liaison Group for 8 years. Since he was in the "VCM problem" from Day 1, he is extremely knowledgeable and will be able to cope with any new situation which may arise. I shall also attend the APME VCM Meeting in Porsgrunn on 25/26 August since Mr Clayton is on his annual vacation then.
