California CP talcs nocully contain between 1-15* total trenollee. Fibrous treaoliee (asbestos) may be present in quantities of 0.1-1X or more by weight.
Asbestos is carcinogenic or se-caiclnogenic for busans. The current OSHA
standard, 8 hour TWA is 2 "flbers/ce (fibers with at least a 3,*1 aspect ratio
greater than 5 micrometer in length). Ceiling - 10 Eibers/cc. Action
level 0.1 flbera/cc.
California Talc also contains.free silica. The current OSHA standard, 8 hour TWA (Respirable Oust) is determined'by the formula 10 og/ij 7*Si02+2 or 50 appef/* Si0,+S. ACG1H 8 hour TWA is' 3 sppcf or 0.1jOg/M for respirable dust, TfOISR proposed 10 hour TWA of 0;05 mg/M, PEL.
