Does not contain t r c a rot Procedure: A range finding test was conducted with the test material to determine a rio to minimally irritating concentra tion. After this concentration was determined, the test for primary irritation was conducted by applyi'g, and lightly rubbing in, I drop (-- 0.05 mil of a 100$ and 10$ suspension (vol./vol.l of the test material in acetone cn the shaved intact shoulder skin of 10 male albino guinea pigs. To test for the sensitization potential, a series of four sacral intradermal injections was given, one each week over a three-week period, which consisted of 0.1 ml of a 1$ soluticnivol./vol.l of test material in dimethyl phthalate. Following a two-week rest period, the test animals were challenged for sensitization by applying, and lightly rubbing in, I drop (-0.05 ml 1 of a 100$ and 10$ suspension (vol./vol.l of test material in acetone on the shaved intact shoulder skin. A group of 10 previously unexposed guinea pigs received similar applications at tne time of challenge to provide a direct comparison of the chal lenge reactions -on skin of similar age._________________ Results: ______________________Reactions* cn Intact Gu 1nee Piq Skin_____ ____________________ Test Areas iAnimals - In.
