Preparing Monoethanolamines (T-250 Overheads) Sample For Gas Chromatograph #'s 7 And 9 1.0 Objective: 1.1 To prepare the sample with consistency from operator to operator to ensure accurate data every time. 2.0 Responsibility: 2.1 It is the responsibility of all operators running sample analysis to execute this procedure in an efficient manner. 3.0 Procedure: 3.1 To ensure accuracy in mixing this product with the internal standard, use the microlab 900 series mixer. 3.2 Open the sample bottle, lower the mixer wand into the sample. 3.3 Press the button on the wand to begin aspirating. 3.4 When the mixer is finished drawing the sample, put the tip of the wand into a GC vial. 3.5 Press the button again to dispense the product and the internal standard into the vial. 3.6 Remove the wand and place in the holder. The mixer will fill the syringe for a rinse cycle. 3.7 Press the button to dispense the rinse product. 3.8 Cap the vial with an aluminum seal cap and the crimper. 3.9 Shake the vial to get a complete mixture.
