The two most ooetly and at the sane time most interesting applications are the sine alloys for the lighting fixtures and the lead sheet in tha walls, from both of these applications, va have had, even at this date, positive results. The firm manufacturing the limiting fixtures had used only alualnua until thsy mads our flxtrcms. When we suggested sine alloys, they
were enthusiastic sines they were looking for other colours to eatlfy the various colour schemes now demanded by architects. They recently seat S travelling promotional display across Canada and to tha 0,1, In which they shoved only the tine alloys they had used in our offices. They have reported enthusiastic Interest among architects and are confident orders In these metals will be forthcoming.
Regarding the lead walls, there are several beneficial results. a ecnjmotion with the Lit and ERP staffs, we were able to find a type of wall that oould ba adapted to Include lead. The problems of Installing lead sheet were not difficult and the resulting wall was more easily handled than a similar wall without lead. ' Since ve did not have the necessary tlaa to aaka a complete study of all design features before the
a plana had to be frosen, we are still uncertain as to the precise extend of sound attenuation ve will achieve, but we are confidant it will be appreciable and that this type of wall construction has great coamerrlal potential.
