Ihe Second Quarter oonpetitive Safety and Housekeeping Inspection for the lab area was conducted on April 9, 1985. The Quality Assurance Lab will be given the outstanding award and the best rating for this quarter. While the Research III area did just get into the outstanding level the inspection team did not feel that it should merit an award plaque. Ratings were:

Many of the rooms in Research I and Research II buildings are in need of interior painting and window glazing.
Several labs were very cluttered and housed more apparatus than available storage space.
Several labs were vacant with apparently no one responsible for housekeeping or cleanup.
Emergency utility cut-off drawing in Research I and Research II halls have not been revised in twelve years - need to check to make sure they are current and revise date.
QUALITY ASSURANCE LAB
North Lab
Old 2" solvent line on outside of building is badly corroded and needs to be removed.
Kitchen area - ioe box needs to be straightened up.
