MONSANTO CHEMICAL COMPANY From LOCATION : S t . LOUi S date SUBJECT : . November 24, 1964 : ^PHPRMINOL REFERENCE : Inter-Office Correspondence TO s PILE I talked to Dr. W. G. Wickham, at the Grier, North Carolina Plant, of Celanese Plastics. This was referred to me by Mr. Stan Shaw, of Organic Sales. I explained to Dr. Wickham that if sufficient con centrations of Therminol occurred from leaks, and the fluid at elevated temperatures came into the working environment, problems could result. I told him, also, that in spite of the marked in halation toxicity at elevated temperatures, we only had reports of three instances of problems that I could remember during the last five to ten years. I impressed upon him the fact, however, that such leaks must be controlled or the fumes removed by exhaust ventilation. REK/ln R. Emmet Kelly, M. D. CD in to DSW 552724 STLCOPCB4091141
