' So far as we know there is no gasoline contain ing Ethyl fluid which is being distributed for automotive use anywhere in this country, In higher concentration than one part tetraethyl lead to 1260 parts of gasoline, and v;e nave no record of any instance in which Ethyl Gasoline !Ilei3 because of the presence of Ethyl fluid or tetraethyl lead been responsible for the poisoning or injury of any human being, and our experience definitely leads us to the opin ion that this amount cf dilution in gasoline has no more affect by inhalation or absorption than has that of the general run-of-mine gasoline. ' `i I am taking the liberty of writing to you for information which I desire. - An employee of the Mid-Continent Petroleum Corp oration, working in an excavation, was overcome by the fumes of escaping ethyl gas. Three days later he died and the diagnosis of the physician showed that his death was dir ectly attributable to the effect of gas poisoning. I have found that the physicians with whom I have been in conference are unable to give me the exact symptoms of ethyl gas poisoning, and. the effect of its inhalation and absorption upon the human body. I would be pleased if you could refer me to a stand ard. treatise upon this subject by any well recognised authority, or put me in touch with some individual who could furnish me with the desired information.
