Also, Dennis Kos presented to SAC an operating procedure which he intends to use for the control of interlock by passing in the styrene plant. After considerable discussion it was decided to work up a revision of the proposed bulletin for review by operating personnel by the November PMSB meeting. Plant Telephones for Emergency Use when a Power Failure Occurs The changes approved by the PMSB in September in some of the 10 tele phones which operate when normal power for phones is off are being implemented. At the September PMSB meeting a concern was raised as to whether the plant had sufficient communications under these conditions and SAC was requested to review this concern and recommend improvements if needed. Since then LP&S and communications personnel have begun a study on this subject. SAC will review their recommendations when the study is completed. Ladder Inspection SAC recommends that the annual ladder inspection next year be done plantwide in a single week to reduce the possibility of missing an inspection due to ladder movement.
