E Dear Sir: Recently one of our employees, Mr. who is engaged as a tank wagon driver at Chatham, N.B., Canada, became ill and has been away from work for a complaint which has been diagnosed at the Mirsmiehi Hospital in Newcastle, N.B., as chronic lead poisoning. Our Medical Department at Toronto advise us that you wish to know of all such cases of suspected lead poisoning, as you want to investigate these yourselves,and we are therefore attaching a copy of the medical report submitted by Dr. R.B. McKenzie of the Miramichi Hospital for your information. We are also advised by our Medical Department that it is your practice to send a qualified investigator to look into such cases and that you will advise us of your findings. It should be noted that the examining physician has recommended that this employee be given another outside job where his exposure to the aggravating factor is minimal. The fact is that Mr. ^^flB^is presently engaged in outside work and it is our opinion tna^nis exposure to lead poisoning is very slight. It would appear, therefore, that if this slight exposure to leaded products aggravates the condition it will be necessary for him to find work of another nature outside the Company. If it is your practice to send an investigator to the location, we would suggest that you contact Mr. J.G-.
