On December 7, 1976 the regular asbestos survey was conducted by the writer at the Eldon Axle Plant, us required by OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910.1001). The results of this survey are indicated on the attached data sheets, which must be retained for a minimum of 20 years as required by OSHA regulations.
As noted on the data sheets, the maximum employee exposure found during the present survey was 0.4 asbestos fibers (greater than 5 microns in length) per cubic centi meter of air. This is only 20 percent of the permissible limit of 2.0 fibers/cc. Most exposures are well below this level.
