API Press [Press@api.org] 5/21/2018 4:20:44 PM API Press [Press@api.org] API Energy Tomorrow Weekly | May 21, 2018
Good Morning,
Michael Tadeo here from the American Petroleum Institute. I wanted to share with you some recent updates from our EnergyTomorrow blog. In this weekly recap, we focused on two studies - one confirming the compatibility of offshore natural gas and oil and the military's uses of the ocean, and another on our industry's leadership in cutting emissions through investments in renewables and other low-carbon technologies. Both speak to safe and responsible energy development, to keep our country growing and secure. (See below)
Please take a look and let me know if you need any additional information. My contact information is below.
Thank you as always,
Michael Tadeo

See the posts below on two important studies - one confirming the compatibility of offshore natural gas and oil and the military's uses of the ocean, and another on our industry's leadership in cutting emissions through investments in renewables and other low-carbon technologies. Both speak to safe and responsible energy development, to keep our country growing and secure. Also below: new behind-the-scenes interviews with natural gas and oil employees in which they underscore their commitment to responsible energy production. All in this week's ET Update. Best,
Highlights From The Blog
Energy and Military Compatibility in the Eastern Gulf - A new Defense Department analysis agrees with what we've been saying for some time - that with the right guidelines and agreements in place, offshore natural gas and oil production can coexist with the military's needs to train on the ocean.
Study: Industry is a Leader in Making Our Air Cleaner - A new study by T2 and Associates quantifies natural gas and oil's leadership in reducing greenhouse gas emissions - through its investments in renewables and other low-carbon technologies and cutting its own emissions - resulting in cleaner air for the country.
Video: Cleaner, Smarter is Top of Mind for Natural Gas & Oil - API's new ad, "Brainpower," highlights the use of technology to develop natural gas and oil safely and efficiently. In behind-the-scenes interviews at the "Brainpower" ad shoot, industry employees discuss responsible development as a commitment to the communities where they live.
