Kaiser and Robert C. Buck fOs I Contractor: DuPont Company, Corporate Center for Analytical Sciences, E 402/5321, Wilmington DE 19880-0402 Study Dates: completed July 2002 CD CD Study Objective: The study objective was to detennine the ultraviolet spectrum, solubility, and vapor pressure of 8-2 Telomer B alcohol. Materials and Methods: The material studied was Telomer B 8-2 alcohol (1-decanol, 3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7,8,8,9,9,10,10,10 heptadecafluoro; CAS number 678-39-7) The methods used were as follows: Ultraviolet spectrum: OECD Guideline 101 Vapor Pressure: OECD Guideline 104 and EPA OPPTS 830.7950 Solubility: OECD Guideline 105 These studies were not carried out under GLP protocols. Findings Ultraviolet spectrum: There was no measurable absorption for Telomer B 8-2 alcohol at 25C from 225 to 400 nm. Vapor Pressure: The vapor pressure of Telomer B 8-2 alcohol ranged from 3Pa at 23C to 101 kPa at 201C. Solubility: The solubility of Telomer B 8-2 alcohol in water from 12C to 60C was very low ( 134pg/L to 318pg/L). Does not contain TSCA CBI 1 7 TRP 17-Apr-03
