H-25134: Static, Acute, 96-Hour .Screening Test to Oncorhynchus mykiss
DuPont-8861
SUMMARY
The acute toxicity o f H-25134 to the rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss was determined in an unaerated, 96-hour, static test.
The study was conducted with 4 concentrations o f H-25134 and a dilution water control at a mean temperature o f 11,3C (range o f 11.2-11.3C). One test chamber was used per test concentration with 10 test organisms in each chamber. Based on visual observations, the water control was clear and colorless, and the 1.0, 10, 100 and 1000 mg/L test concentrations were clear and colorless with undissolved test material on the water surface and on the bottom o f the test chambers at test start. All water quality parameters were within acceptable limits during the
Exposure o f H-25134 to the water control and nominal H-25134 concentrations o f 1, 10 100 and 1000 mg/L resulted m 0, 0, 0, 0, and 0% mortality, respectively, at the end o f 96 hours. No mortality or sublethal effects were seen in the water control test organisms. The highest nominal concentration causing no mortality at test end was 1000 mg/L.
The results are summarized as follows:
