Today EPA headquarters provided the regions draft summaries of state Clean Water Act and related programs to assist in EPA's consideration of potential state responses to a revised definition of "waters of the United States" under the Clean Water Act. Em attaching the Region 8 draft state summary for your review and comment/correction. EPA drafted this short summary from existing publicly available sources and EPA's in-house expertise, and would like your input. We welcome corrections and additions to this document, especially the state-level programs. If you find errors or missing information, please supplement the information with additional content and citations. This technical review is a co-regulator opportunity for engagement so we ask that this not be distributed outside of your agencies. Ultimately these summaries will be part of the rulemaking docket and publically available, so it's important that they contain accurate information.
