I. Introduction On September 23, 2024, a CAA Asbestos NESHAP Inspection was conducted at the
former Days Inn, located at Seven Bridge Road, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. a. Summary of Site / Facility
The Days Inn was a multiple building hotel and restaurant complex. The facility is being demolished for redevelopment.
b. Entry and opening conference
EPA Region III Inspector Richard Ponak arrived at the facility at approximately 9:59 am on September 23, 2024, for an announced inspection. Upon arrival, Inspector Ponak presented credentials to Kurt Dave, Supervisor for RMMI, Inc. The inspection was a "For Cause" follow up inspection based on the observations of Inspector Ponak during an April 9, 2024, inspection. II. Process Description
Not Applicable to the inspection. III. Site / Facility Walkthrough
Inspector Ponak and Mr. Dave walked through the demolition site and did not observe any Regulated Asbestos Containing Material (RACM). Mr. Dave stated that all RACM observed during the August 21, 2024, inspection had been removed by the asbestos abatement contractor. IV. Samples
Not Applicable to the inspection. V. Closing Conference
Inspector Ponak asked Mr. Dave to inform Mr. Patel that construction activities may resume at the site. Inspector Ponak asked Mr. Dave if there were any questions. Mr. Dave stated he had no questions. Inspector Ponak left the site. VI. List of Attachments
