Marcii 25, 1948 D r . F ..E . L a n&han, Medical Director, The Electric ftcrage Battery Co., Allegheny Avenue anc ISth Street, Philadelphia ~$2t Pennsylvania. Dear Dr. L&nahan: In D r . K s h o e 's absence from .the Laboratory I am enclosing the analy tical report on vhich are as follovs: Blood - .055 (Spectrograpbic; Mg. Pb/100 Grams 07 \Bithizonej Mg. ?b/10j Grams These analytical results indicate that the subjects has had an abnormal exposure to lead. Without information as to how long this man has been exposed to the conditions vhich have led to these concentrations it is not possible to guess as to the immediate hazard of his environment other than to say that it is potentially hazardous. It is not common to have symptoms of lead poisoning in concentra tions of this degree, although if this man had had symptoms several weeks before which led to his removal from the hazardous environment, it would not be uncommon for him still to be suffering from some general weakness. We would appreciate your supplying us with the clinical information about the extent of his exposure and his symptomatology and such further laboratory studies as you have made, as this information would increase the value of the results to us. Very truly yours, hWF ef Enc. henry V. Ryder. M. D.
