In your postscript you inquired as to the status of Clayton & Associates, Inc. What ydu heard in Pennsylvania is true. I sold my company a year ago last October to the Sitkin Smelting and Refining Company, Inc., Lewistown, Pennsylvania. The primary purpose of selling the company was to provide adequate finances to develop an extremely large, comprehensive environmental consulting organization. As you can appreciate, I did not personally have this type of capital. I have found the relationship with Sitkin Smelting and Refining Company, Inc. to be most satisfactory. They in no way directly interfere or offer suggestions relating to the conduct of Clayton & Associates, Inc. I uould not tolerate interference either from them or anyone else in the area of technical competence of myself or any of our staff. As you know, Sitkin Smelting and Refining Company, Inc. are secondary smelters. How they conduct their business in other subsidiaries is of no concern to me. From time to time they have asked me to provide consulting services for them, but other than that, there is little contact between us, the parent company and other subsidiaries. I am enclosing herewith a brochure that describes the concept I have developed for us to expand Clayton & Associates, Inc. We would be most delighted if you would visit our facility. We have at the present time the most modem and complete analytical laboratory relating to our field in the United States As you can see by our brochure, the laboratory is headed by an old friend of yours.
