The update is that EPA Region 6 is still reviewing the exceptional events demonstration from TCEQfor the El Paso area, and has been working with the state on their submission and including additional information. The state and EPA will continue the dialogue in the coming months as the regional office thoughtfully considers the demonstration. We at EPA HQ will likely release an announcement late this week on nationwide ozone designations that will provide further context and a backdrop for the consideration of the submission. My colleague, will be sending around information on that, since I'll be out. Hope that helps, and feel free to get back in touch if you have any questions after the announcement late in the week.
