Neal and Kate-
Lincoln and I just updated the Administrator on the 4 media reps that are now attending as well as the plane/ billboard situation. Given these circumstances, he'd like to respectfully request that the entire format now be Q&A with two chairs on stage (and no need for a podium). I know this is different than a typical ("talk at you") speech, but we all agree it might be more informative for everyone in the audience. Can either of you run the traps and confirm this format prior to our arrival?
Here are a few additional questions for Todd to consider and thanks for your understanding! See below:
What is your relationship with the President and what has it been like to work with him?
Earlier this week, you issued a directive to get rid of the abusive sue and settle process at the EPA in which special interests develop policy with agencies behind closed doors. Could you explain what your directive on the issue does?
The left strictly defines "environmentalism" and designate "environmentalists" as an exclusive, limited type of crowd. What is your response to this? What do you consider true environmentalism?
Regarding the "Waters of the United States" (WOTUS) rule you are working to properly define as what "navigable waters" should be under the Clean Water Act.. .....What are your goals as you conduct a re-evaluation?
Are you working to include a streamlined permitting process at EPA as a part of the President's infrastructure package? Should it be included?
What has it been like to run such a newsworthy agency? More difficult than you imagined?
