Under separate cover Z an sending two copies of a report of our observations in relation to the potential hazards of the use of tetraasthyl lead in gasoline, and one copy of a brief summary of some toxicologic work which we carried out years ago. The latter report is in short supply and, therefore, X as being cautious in its distribution, Moreover, we are investigating the behavior to tetraaethyl lead further with emphasis on the effects of pro longed exposure to sub-lethal concentrations, while the present report is of significance only in demonstrating the relative order of magnitude of its immediate toxicity. It may be that questions may arise in relation to the projected use of tetramethyl lead, and if this should be the case I shall be glad to be afforded the opportunity of answering them, at least to the extent of our knowledge and experience.
