FROM . copv to TURNER & NEWALL LIMITED Manchester MR R ML BATEMAN .j i TO i MR M-'F. HQWK Turners Asbestos Fibres Ltd- | 31st May 1974 Dear Mr. Howe, Marking of Bags *' i I thank you for youb note of 30th May and all I can tell you is that at the QAMA meeting in March, at which I was not present, all the producers except Bell stated their intention to put the warning label on all bags for all parts of the world. Under these circumstances, if Bell stood out they would be alone in their action and clearly, kny extra problem arising with customers because Bell fall' in line with the others must be extremely small. This beirig so, as there are appreciable economies to Bell in the majrking of their bags the same way, I think we must agree that they should fall in line. The main point is that there is no possibility of persuading the other producers in Eastern Canada to alter their attitude. You will, of course, feel at liberty to discuss this matter with Bell but I really cannot see any possibility of their decision being altered ' Yours truly, \ i --------- ----------- I I
