THE STAB PROGRAM The Stab Program is a program, on the computer, used to figure out how much stabilizer to add to a tank of product, whether it is a type not normally made, or a batch that is low on stabilizers. Using the Stab Program: 1. Before starting program, have the information you will need to run program, (beginning and ending tank level; lab sample weight, and weight you desire; etc.) 2. Select L 0 Programs, on the main MENU. Press ENTER. 3. Select Stab Program. Press ENTER. 4. Make selection, from Menu, of calculation you wish to use. (How much stabilizer to add to a regular batch: How much stabilizer or MC to add to an out of spec tank; How much stabilizer to add to a new type, not normally made; How many inches to pump from a drum to get a given amount of gallons; or QUIT.) The Stab Program is used when the results from the lab indicate that there is a shortage of one or more stabilizers in a given type of product. The Stab Program will let you know how much of the stabilizer is needed to bring the batch into spec. The Stab Program can also be used to determine how many inches of a stabilizer to pump from a drum to get a certain number of gallons.
