H.F. rotor blading was encrusted with foreign naterial* this rotor was removed shop and fly ashed and cleaned and checked for balancing. X..P. rotor last row of ahead Hading shows signs of severe water erosion on leading edge. Ifothing m& done at this time, but special attention to be paid to kbit row during next examination. G,E. main generator reduction gears were examined and found to be in good condition, hull gear thrust clearances were below normal and exact cause or reason was- rsot ascertained. These clearances were opened to approx. 303** during reassembly --of unit. This generator and turbine was operated under medium load conditions for approx. 23 hours and thrust clearances of this bull gear rednecked and found fco be exactly m set. Temperature change did mt effect or change clearances. Tooth contact of bull and pinion gears looked fair. Turbin rotor sad generator rotor looked is excellent condition.
