A short time ago the Bureau or Chemistry end Boils placed an order with the isamolinth Carbon Paint Company for shite lead in nil, under item 52F-13640-c of the present Schedule of Supplies* They were advised by this com pany that their contract covered only the dry shite lead, although there Is nothing under the ebove ixm to indicate that this is so* .lines tills parti
cular order was for re-shipment to -be field, the Bureau did not argue the point, but met their requirements in another way* ihey did, however, write to the tfamolinth Carbon Paint Company, calling their a intention to the fact that according to the schedule, it seemed that their contract could be in terpreted to cover both dry lead and lead is oil. /hare follows a quotation from the reply received by the Bureau of Chemistry and Bolls.
