I do not know whether to rejoice or to veep over m y election to the office. I certainly appreciate the compliment, hut I am a hit dismayed at the prospect of more vork. In any case I shall be present at the meeting. I want to point out, however, that this meeting Is in conflict with the meeting of the Board of Directors of the A .A.I.P and S. Their meeting begins at 4*50* extends through the dinner hour and on into the night. I am supposed to be at both meetings, a manifestly impossible feat.
