Micro-Bar combines two separate densities. On one side is a thin, tough, heavy den sity material to check air erosion and shop handling. Underneath is a thicker, lighter density body for greater sound absorption and thermal insulation. AVAILABLE FORMS: Micro-Bar is coated with a special neoprene meet ing NBFU-90A to prevent the possibility of fiber erosion. f7] USES: Recommended for air conditioning and heating ducts at velocities up to 5000 FPM (although it has been tested in the laboratory for velocities above 8000 FPM without noticeable change). When formed over the edge of the insulation, MicroBar's tough surface prevents rushing air from getting into or under the insulation, thus resisting tearing or lifting.
