Bloods on employe bad been sent to our Industrial Hygiene Laboratory with the following results .077 and .070. They compare quite favorably to the blood leads which you did for Dr. Chapman. I discussed the matter of your fees for doing the blood leads for Dr. Chapman with Mr. Fenner, Industrial Rela tions Manager, of the Norfolk Plant. He believes that in view of the fact that Dr. Chapman knew that blood leads were being done by our Industrial Hygiene Labora tory and, since he sent these to you strictly on his own, the fee should be submitted to him for payment. You will be hearing from Paul Toth, Supervisor of our Industrial Hygiene Service, in regard to some cross checking with Mr. Morano and with our Industrial Hygiene Laboratory Service. You might be interested to know that Mr. Fenner has assured me that the lead problem at the Norfolk Plant is under good control at the present time. New facilities are being developed at that location for the processing of the lead operation and also new locker rooms and medical facilities.
