Smull lL F.J. Basile E.R. Billen . J.W. Boehm R.E. Bunge _ A.E. Leisy A meeting was held on. Tuesday, Aug. 23 to discuss shutdown and decontamination"of the Incinerator. An outline of the proposed decontamination methods and a tentative timetable were presented. The following points were agreed upon: 1. The department will be shutdown after all waste material, excluding that contained in Little Mo, has been incinerated. Shutdown is scheduled for Oct. 15, 1977. 2. After shutdown, any additional wastes, including those contained in Little Mo, will be disposed of outside the plant. 3. Decontamination of the Incinerator storage tanks was judged unfeasible. Instead, Little Mo, the five 20,000 gallon storage tanks, and all associated piping will be dismantled and landfilled. 4. The incinerator sump collection system will remain intact after all system sludge has been removed. 5.
