The equipment which had been in steam service is over 20 years old. Removal of the insulation is scheduled to start on September 8, 1987, with completion on November 7, 1987. All asbestos containing material will be wetted and removed in small sections using the glove bag method. The insulation will be sealed in properly labeled impermeable plastic bags prior to removal from the demolition area.
