I just wanted to send you a quick email to let you know that I have been allocated the above enhanced preapplication request that you have submitted for AGC Chemicals Europe Limited - the `Hillhouse International' site. I need to ask you to please clarify the specific help that you need from the EA in response to this enhanced preapplication request. I notice that you have included a list of the proposed variation details (replicated below), however it's unclear what you need from us at the EA to be able to apply for this variation: Permit variation for: Eluent improvement project (sand filtration and activated carbon beds) prior to emission point W1. Installation of a secondary carbon adsorption unit (operating in series to existing unit) prior to emission point A7. Installation boundary minor amendment (current permit boundary does not include all AGCCE land and small area outside the current permit boundary will be utilised for the eluent improvement project). Approach to permit limits and risk assessment requirements alongside existing Regulation 61 notice (issued 03/10/2023) updated surface water risk screening and air emissions risk assessments are a requirement of the Regulation 61 notice. Inconsistency in the HF monitoring requirements in our current permit.
