M E T H O D _______________________________________________ Method: Microbics Microtox "BASIC" Procedure Test type: Static acute GLP: No Year Completed: 1994 Species: Photobacterium phosphoreum Analytical monitoring: pH and osmotic condition Statistical methods: EC10 and EC50 values calculated by statistical linear regression program provided for Microtox Test organism source: Microbics, Reagent Lot # AM025. Test conditions Dilution water: Millipore Milli-QTM water Stock and test solutions preparation: A primary stock solution was prepared in dilution water at 2000 mg/L. The pH of the stock solution was then adjusted from 5.9 to 7.0 using 0.02N NaOH and an osmotic adjustment was made using 200 mg NaCI dissolved in 10 mL of stock solution. Appearance of test solutions was noted as "clear and colorless". All test solutions were made by proportional dilution. Exposure vessels: 3 mL glass cuvettes.
