3M Response to CfE - Data Gap Analysis.pdf
Following our response to your questionnaire as part of the 2" Call for Evidence, 3M has also prepared a data gap analysis (here attached) based on the summary reports that were provided with the questionnaire. We would be grateful if you could have a look at it and consider this
document in addition to the response that has been submitted as part of the consultation.
Additionally, | would also like to take the opportunity to ask for a follow-up meeting with you, to discuss the submitted information and respond to any additional questions you might have. As several identified gaps are related to our specialty fluids, in particular the Novec-branded products, | was wondering whether we could also organize a separate meeting to discuss those -- it can be either as part of the F-Gases workstream or separately. Please let me know what you think would be best, and for when could we plan such meetings (a general one and one specific to Novec products).
Looking forward to your feedback, and thank you again for the opportunity to comment!
Kind regards,
Science.

Dear
Concerning your first question, yes, please clearly mark BCI as such. It will be handled as in the
first call for evidence.
Concerning the limited characters for providing answers, this was intentionally implemented by us. We would like to receive concise input here and would not like to open the door for position statements. Please consider if it is really necessary to provide longer answers to give valuable input.
If this is the case | would ask you to submit them via email to JEEIE2baua.bund.de, but please
stick to the questions posed and do not submit any position papers.
Best regards,
for the German CA

Dear
Thank you for this email and the link to the studies + public consultation. 3M is planning to
submit further information.
In this regard we have two questions, where we would appreciate further clarification from your
side:
1. How should we report business confidential information (BCI)? In the 1% Call for Evidence you noted that we should clearly mark it as such. Is this still the case, or are there any changes in how you plan to handle BCI?
2. Several cells for providing answers are limited to 1000 characters. Would it be possible to expand those?
Thank you in advance for your feedback.
Best regards, Science.

Dear Sir or Madam,
On 15 July 2021, the national authorities of Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Denmark formally submitted their intention to prepare a restriction proposal on per- and polyfluorinated substances (PFAS) to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).
In addition, we have published today brief summaries of the information we have gathered so far, as well as an accompanying questionnaire. With this new consultation we would like to ensure that the information already available reflects the current market situation as closely as possible, and fill remaining data gaps.
We kindly ask all stakeholders to review the published information and submit comments on necessary corrections and/or missing data by 19 September 2021 via this link: https://link.webropolsurveys.com/S/A268AB47DABIDSDA
More information on the planned restriction of per- and polyfluorinated substances as well as a downloadable pdf version of the questionnaire can be found here: https://www.reach-clp-

Zusatzlich dazu haben wir heute kurze Zusammenfassungen der bisher gesammelten Informationen sowie einen begleitenden Fragebogen verffentlicht.
