I asked him to issue the check directly for the services rendered by Dr. Kindel, and your Department, so as to avoid internal confusion. The report, a copy of which is enclosed for your information, has met with considerable satisfaction among the sponsors, and has been accepted, apparently without question by the Food and Drug Administration in HEW. Just what this means in the official sense seems to require exploration in a direct conference with representatives of F.D.A., but I do not anticipate any great difficulty.
