The smallest material presently avail able is the fraction passing the 200 mesh screen (less than 7^ micron). This material is used by two companies in a finish plastering gypsum and is said to work well. They have no product as small as 2 micron or less and are not sure that they could produce it if there were a market for it. They believe it would be so dusty that it might cause EPA to establish special standards different from those presently applicable, because of the additional hazard from respirable dust. They have promised to get back to us after a more thorough in vestigation of such a material from within the Company.. I personally believe such a fine asbestos would be satisfactory in the MK-3 formulation.
