Preface. I have put in the l i t t l e piece of h is to ric a l m atter th a t I
could g a th e r from th e p re c ed in g r e p o r t . I don' t know enough ab o u t th e
m a tte r o f deterraing lead, i n s i r and so 1 co u ld n ' t make any profound p h ilo
s o p h ic a l s ta te m e n t co n cern in g th e im p o rtan c e o f th e s e m ethods. The f i r s t
e d itio n o f th e re p o rt did not have any P reface covering the su b ject.
