Sanborn visited the Calgary Energy, LLC oil and gas facility located at latitude 36.852277 and longitude -96.473198 near Pawhuska, Oklahoma on 10/24/2019 for an unannounced inspection. There were no representatives of Calgary Energy, LLC present for the inspection. The inspection was conducted by authority of the Clean Water Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act to determine compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. FACILITY DESCRIPTION This facility is known as the Foraker Lease. Section II - OBSERVATIONS I observed that oil and brine leaked from a flow line to a pond. There were oil booms set up in pond neck and the ditch leading to the pond had not been cleaned of the spilled fluids. With a calibrated YSI Pro 30 conductivity meter, I measured approximately 27,000 mg/L Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in the pond neck. I took an additional reading of 400 mg/L TDS in the large part of the pond. I did not observe produced water or other spilled fluids leaking from the pond during the inspection. I observed an oil ring along the pond shore. Section III - AREAS OF CONCERN There was oil and produced water fluids observed in the enclosed pond with elevated levels of TDS.
