I happen to have a moderately large group of battery workers under my immediate supervision as "'811 as quite a number of referred cases from other industries throughout the state. In one of our local hospitals here we have been examining the 24-hour urine of these cases quantitatively for lead, using the old Lederer method and checking the final lead sulphide color with known quantities of lead down as low as .009 mgs. I wonder what you think of this method and just exactly what method of urine analysis you have been using for your recent studies.
