Tha mimitea of tha Mating of March 29, 1966 were approved. rvms a p pr o v ed rox a p h x s iv x b o o k l e t Tha Sacratary exhibited tha layout and manuscript for a booklet on adhesive bonding of lead based on tha XX2X0 project IM-44. Tha committee was asked to approve the use of $2,000 frost tha Contingency Pund of tha 1966 budget for tha publication of this booklet. It was moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that such a transfer of funds be made and tha booklet be printed. 1967-BOPOCT APPROVED Tha Secretary than presented tha proposed 1967 budget as sent to Mahers on October 17, 1966. Ha explained that lmpleMntation of all suggested 1967 activities mould result in an assessment of $1.45 par ton, but that tha budget had bean re vised and, as submitted in revised form, mould entail an aasessMnt of lass than $1.25 per ton. Be then noted tha revision and tha Committee considered tha revised budget in detail. With respect to the Bealth and Safety Public Relations Program tha Executive Vice President stated that tha proposed sirs of this program had bean reduced from $300,500 to $200,000, and that this action was taken as a result of a recommendation mads by the three man (Messrs. Englehorn, Cremes, Strauss) Public Relatione Committee for Bealth and Safaty at its meeting early this month. Be proposed that the Association undertake tasting of ths atmosphere at several lead plant boundaries in the state so that reliable data would be at hand to supply to tha legislators. Zt was tha con census of the meeting that the Association adght rightfully provide funds for ouch testing but it was specifically clear that the question of whether tha testa should ba undertaken was for decision by tha Board of Directors.
