As previously, the purpose of the grant i* to e n i s t and encourage research at the doctoral level. The fund* are intended to be used in innovative weya which will help strengthen your graduate rtsaareh program in Environmental Science. Your use of the fund* is un restricted within the general purpose of the grant. However, some or all of the funds say be used for fellowship purposes, provided each award is identified as a Ford Motor Fellowship and offers a minimum stipend of $3500 per academic year for the recipient. He wish to note that this will be the final grant rtnawal. As you nay appreciate, we receive nuaarous university reguests for partici pation in our grant program. therefore, in order to optimize the distrilntion of our grant funds, we must consider rotation of grant recipients oa a periodic basis.
